The University of Barcelona is one of the most reputable European universities and is located in one of the best cities to study. Its own history closely tied to the history of Barcelona and of Catalonia, our university combines the values of tradition with its position as an institution dedicated to innovation and teaching excellence: a university that is as outward-looking and cosmopolitan as the city from which it takes its name.

Three different faculties offering degrees in Biomedical, Medical and Health sciences participate in this exchange program: the Faculty of Biology located on the Pedralbes Campus, the Faculty of Medicine and Health sciences located on the Clinic Campus along with Hospital Clínic and several biotechnological research centres, and the Faculty of Medicine and Health sciences located on the Bellvitge Campus along with Hospital Universitari the Bellvitge.

The UB campuses are spread out across the entire inner-city area, thus fostering close ties between our University and the city around us. These ties contribute to the human and cultural environment present in Barcelona and enables members of the university community to enjoy both the city’s services and those of the UB. Each year the University of Barcelona (UB) welcomes a large number of international students, we’re excited to host you here for your summer research internships!
